Space Race

The Space Race grew out of the Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union, which were two of the most powerful nations after World War 2. For half-century they both competed for primary in a global struggle to have a democratic society. Space was also a big rivalry. Each side wanted to show their strength through impressive feats in rocketry and spaceflight. Secret satilites would keep a wary eye on the others.
    But at the end of the Cold War, the United States and Russia just agreed to build a space station and go on other adventures that include each other. A fear that began in fear and enmity has become a great partnership.
